Sunshine Flowers

Hello out there!

This week I have gone for shades of sunshine, it is raining here in Leeds and my mum says it is raining in Doncaster, so a bit of sunshine is what is needed at this point I think. On Sunday we did a Wedding Fair at the Leeds Bradford Holiday Inn at Tong and these are some of the flowers we took with us.

The first is a lovely hessian and yellow hoop, ideal for a bridesmaid to carry or for placing around the base of your cake to give it a bit of extra prettiness! We put it on the table with LOVE letters and a tea set just to give an idea of scale. This one has yellow roses and gypsohilla with a bit of greenery, the hoop is wrapped in hessian and yellow ribbon with a big ribbon bow but it can be adapted for most flowers and colour schemes. The hoop can be almost any size.

Next we took a pretty bouquet of Sunflowers.
I love Sunflowers, there's just something about them that makes me smile and
they are perfect for adding a sunny feel to your wedding.

This is being held a bit funnily by the lady on the next stand who very kindly offered!
It should be held closer and more upright but this does show you the flowers!
There are 5 big sunflowers and gypsophilla in this bouquet, with a collar of hessian and the stems have been wrapped in cream cotton with a cream cotton bow.

We also took our new vintage steps to the fair.

The jug of sunflowers with masses of daisies gives a lovely welcome on the top step of this entrance display. The lovely LOVE letters and white and gold coffee cans filled with tiny burplerum, narssicci, gyp and rosa bring the colour down the steps. This is a lovely country look, sunny and relaxed.

We placed a JUST MARRIED flag in the flowers.

The tiny daffs and burplerum, below, looked cute in the coffee cans.

As did the single white rose and gyp

Altogether it made a lovely happy display to welcome guests.

Another great use for these lovely vintage steps is to use them as the basis of a table seating plan.
Instead of LOVE letters and flowers how about pots of Lavender with guests names and table numbers in going down the steps? Watch this space and I will show you how when the sun comes out!

Thats it for now, I'm sorry the pictures are a bit dark this week, it was a dull day on Sunday and sunshine makes everything so much nicer, doesn't it?

Take care, Karen x
