A Family Wedding

Hello out there.

This week's wedding is a bit different because it's family. Normally I set up the venue, deliver the flowers and thats it, I don't see anything else. This time I get to see the bride carrying her flowers and I get to see the venue in use, so its quite exciting for me.

This is my happy couple before the wedding

and after....

It was a fabulous day, but first I had to set up.

The venue was Casa at Brighouse, it is perfect for modern style weddings.
My lovely couple chose a black and white theme which worked perfectly in this venue.

The bride chose alternate tables with black and white cloths.
The chairs are clear perspex with white seat pads and had black and white sashes
The table centrepieces were clear waterfall crystal displays on the black cloths

and tall candelabra on the white cloths

The top table was decorated with two simple vases of flowers,
one either side of letters spelling out the names of the new couple.

The twinkle backdrop and twinkle top table skirt with black flocked bows finished the look perfectly.

The venue's balk and white chequered dance floor was just what we needed!
The cake table had matching twinkle skirt with black flock bows
and the venue's own giant LOVE letters just added to the overall look.

This was a really simple look that worked perfectly, it just looked really elegant.
Black and white with twinkle and fairy lights!

We had an extra table for the Wish Tree with its tags, pens and framed poem.
We put the post box on this table too, more fairy lights finished it off.

The Post Box and Wish Tree Poem were draped with Heart Fairy Lights.

It looked lovely later, with the lights on.

And now for the wedding day itself....

This is the absolutely gorgeous bride on her father's arm on her way into church
(with rather splendid flowers by me)

She looked fantastic, so here she is again.
And he looked rather good too (suits from me)

And the bridesmaids were lovely.
The biggest of the small ones in white is my grand daughter Megan
who had her 7th birthday on the same day.

The bride's maids' flowers were all faux white roses with black and white pearl strands and ribbons

The bride's flowers were faux white roses with trailing bling and black and white pearls,
finished with trailing ribbons.

Inside the speeches went well.

This is my beautiful grand daughter getting her birthday pressie from the bride.

The room in full swing later on

and from outside on the terrace looking in

And finally, the wish tree with wishes on, surrounded by presents

And that's it, except for what we all looked like at breakfast - believe me you don't want to see!

It was the most perfect day and I loved every minute of it.
Congratulations to you both and here's wishing you a long and happy life together.

xxxxxxx
